The Station House Hotel is built on the grounds of where the Old Station House once stood when the Railway System in County Donegal was in operation from 1901 to the 1940’s. It was bought by the Gallagher family in 1953 four years after the last train passed the old building. It became their home and it was lived in up until 2004 at which point it was demolished and developed into a wonderful hotel that boasts 81 spacious bedrooms, each decorated to a very high standard, the Depot Bar & Restaurant, and Conference & Banqueting facilities.
Since opening this award winning hotel has garnered a reputation locally, domestically and internationally as a place with a philosophy based on offering excellence in service, coupled with a warm and sincere Donegal welcome. The Station House family also have a long association with Letterkenny and its community.

All of the Management and Staff here in the Station House Hotel have successfully completed a training course in Hygiene and Safety Control, in which we have been awarded the Fáilte Ireland COVID19 Safety Charter. Our priority is the safety of our guests and our team. As such, we always have high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in place, but in response to COVID-19, we have elevated those standards evening higher in an effort to maintain a more sterile environment for our guests and our team.
